Psalm 103:10-14

As Far as the East is From the West

Psalm 103:10-14

10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins;nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

11 For as the heaven is high above the earth,so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

12 As far as the east is from the west,so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

13 Like as a father pitieth his children,so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.

14 For he knoweth our frame;he remembereth that we are dust.

Far as the east is from the west. The Lord has never punished us as much as we should be punished no matter how many or severe our sins have been. Likewise he has never held back his love or rewards according to the good or bad we have done. However, once we are his children (Christians) by faith, he takes away all of our sins not because of our works but because of our faith and his love for us.

Once we become his children, he blesses us with mercies that reach as high as the heavens are from the earth.

When we repent, he forgives us of our sins as far is the east from the west, The east and the west never meet, so it shows that the Lord forgives us totally of our sins.

Our Heavenly Father is no different than our earthly parents

A father loves his children but must sometimes be strict to teach his children a lesson. But once the child apologizes and asks for forgiveness, the Father’s heart melts and love comes again to the surface. Sins are forgiven!

When we commit a wrongdoing, we must come to the Father and apologize and ask for forgiveness. Will there be consequences? Sometimes, because the sin we took on may have consequences. But regardless of whether we have consequences or not, if we truly repent and ask for forgiveness, through the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ then God will forgive us and our sins will be wiped clean. God will look at us as a clean, sinless person.

Our Father could allow horrible penance upon us but he remembers how frail we actually are. God molded humans from the dust of the ground. So, if he punished us with as much punishment we deserve, our earthly bodies couldn’t take it.

God had the solution

Before man was ever born God knew he would send a Messiah to the earth. . He sent his only son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross to cover all of our sins.

Once we become God’s children, he blesses us with mercies. With Jesus as our intercessor, we go before God in submission and with repentance. Then God forgives our sins, as far as the east is from the west.

The east and west will never meet. This is how God will look at our sin -“never to be remembered”. That’s an awesome gift from God!

My prayer for Psalm 103:10-14

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for loving us so very much that you provided a way to rid ourselves of sin. Now cleansed, we may come into your presence.

You sent Jesus to take up the cross and he became the intercessor between you and me, Father.

You also sent the Holy Spirit who causes me to feel the guilt of sin. Thank you as he is my helper and comforter.

Christians are truly blessed to have the Trinity working in us. Hallelujah.

In the name of my Lord, Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.

(Wiki). If you go as far north as the North Pole, you would then start going south. At this point, north and south meet. However, if you start going east and never turn around, you will always be going east. The same is true when going west.
